Grand Circuit racing resumes at
The Red Mile on Thursday, October 4th with a matinee post time of
1:00pm. Week two features the International Stallion Stakes (INSS) for all
divisions of two year olds, beginning with the freshman filly trotters
returning to kick off the week’s events in three splits worth a total of
$293,300.
The INSS races begin with race two where Let It Ride Stables and Robert Cooper
Stable LLC’s Time To Kill looks to win right back after a pylon skimming win in
last week’s Bluegrass. The Muscles Yankee filly took a record of 1:55.1 with
John Campbell calling the shots for trainer Ross Croghan. Shared Past was
second in the same division last week and starts again from the rail on
Thursday.
The second division (race 5) features the remarkable Credit Winner filly To
Dream On. She has won six of seven in her freshman season, earning over
$378,000 for high profile owners Marvin Katz and Al Libfeld. Her trainer Jimmy
Takter has developed some very fine trotting fillies throughout his Hall of
Fame career and ranks her right up there with his best. Yannick Gingras
had the good fortune to pick up the drive last week and made the best of it
resulting in the easiest kind of win. Handover Bell stormed home in 26.4 to
grab runner up honors to the favorite last week, is improving with every start
and will have another go at the top choice.

The third and final division is carded as the ninth and offers three returning
division winners led by PASS champ Frau Blucher. Hauser Brothers and Matt
Tudisco’s Broadway Hall filly has won seven of ten for trainer Chris Oakes and
was a safe winner in 1:55- for Dave Palone last week. This division also offers
up a rematch between Aspidistra Hanover and Upfrontluckycarol who shared a
victory in last Thursday’s stake. At the conclusion of a stretch-long duel the
finish camera could not separate the Hanover bred fillies and they dead-heated
in 1:56.2.

Racing this week is an all matinee affair from Thursday through Sunday. The Lexington Selected Yearling Sale starts on
Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm and sells each night through Saturday at
that time.
