 The opening leg of the Kentucky Sires Stakes for 2-year old trotters and pacers will highlight the Sunday night Red Mile program.  There will be a total of 10 stakes divisions throughout the 14 race program.  Seven divisions will be for the freshman trotters, with a large amount from the first crop of superstar Deweycheatumnhowe making their debut over the red clay. 

The Red Mile will also offer their usual $5,000 Guaranteed pool Pick 4 on races 6-9, which will be spiced up even more with an $868 carryover to be added into the Sunday night pool. 

The opening leg of Kentucky Sires Stakes for 3-year olds will be contested this upcoming Thursday (Aug 23), with pacing divisional standouts Bolt The Duer and Thinking Out Loud expected to be in town. 

Live racing continues every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday evening with a first post of 7 p.m.  The Kentucky Sires Stakes $2 million 'Night of Champions' is slated for Sunday, September 9th.
