Blue Chip Farms is a commercial horse boarding and breeding
farm centrally located in Wallkill, NY only 50 miles north of Manhattan. Owned by Thomas
Grossman, the farm is comprised of 700 acres of rolling hills, has six barns
with 122 stalls and 18 sheds. Most of the sheds are serviced by
fields ranging in size from 18-25 acres each. In addition, Blue
Chip has thirty full and part time employees, most of whom live on the farm.
Since inception in 1969 Blue Chip has produced 5 World
Champions and over 1,000 Stakes Winners. Blue Chip Farm bred and raised
horses have won in excess of $71 million in purse money. In 2010,
Blue Chip bred horses garnered the highest earnings per starter in the New York
Sire Stakes Racing program.
Blue Chip currently stands, or manages, seven of the highest
ranking Standardbred stallions in North America, Australia
and New Zealand.
These stallions will breed in excess of 900 mares in
2011. Besides boarding and reproductive services, the farm
also prepares over 70 yearlings for commercial auction every year.
Blue Chip will feature consignments in Morrisville, Lexington
and Harrisburg
this fall.

the Standardbred horse industry in New

York racing into the 21st century by developing an
equine breeding program to rival the best in North America.

been bred and raised by Blue Chip include Gallo Blue Chip (World Champion,
$4,260,959), Santanna Blue Chip ($1,597,725), Kenneth
J ($1,551,627), Isabella Blue Chip (World Champion, $792,069), Beloved Angel
($679,074) and 2010 Woodrow Wilson winner, Fashion Delight ($658,642).
