Was in over his head last time, and drops to a level tonight where he should be able to have some success.  I would expect TS to put him in play early here in small field.  Maybe.

Drops in for a claiming tag after coming up short late in his last couple.  I’ll wait for some improvement.

Another that lands in for a tag after taking a win off against conditioned company, and barn has really heated up over the last couple of weeks.  That was a fairly solid field he beat two weeks ago.

May have been a little ambitiously spotted in the Open ranks, but she should fit well here against a small crew even though she is taking on the boys.  Has been holding her own against some tough fields.  Must respect.

Don’t Fight the Law

Classy veteran makes his local debut for a barn we haven’t seen in quite some time.  Takes a significant plunge in class as well, and could be poised for a wakeup call.  Maybe.

Georgie Mae

Made an early break in overnight company on Sunday, and unfortunately only looks to be a player for the minor awards after drawing back in against another heavy fav in #2.

Raring to Go

With the exception of a break in her last start in the $190k Kentuckiana at Indy, this filly has held her own against some of the best in the country on the east coast.  Looks to be quite a bit further along than these.

Blue Valley

Was offstride far behind the gate Saturday, and now the trainer returns to the bike.  Not sure if she is hard to handle or what the issue is, but I know she has some talent when she minds her manners.  Maybe underneath.

Perfectly driven behind the runaway winner last time, and fended off her rivals late to pick up an easy 2^nd.  Appears to have hooked an even tougher group here though, would need to improve even more.

Had a perfect trip following #4 last time before tiring badly late.  Would take a complete turnaround.

Hard to gage his OH fair efforts, but this isn’t an easy group.  I’ll pass for now.

Beat older horses in the very last stride to win his career debut.  Lands on the outside of a solid group here, but I suspect he will continue to improve with each try.

Turned things around a bit last time to pick up 5^th against a solid group, but things aren’t going to get any easier here.

Outpaced down the lane in the opening leg, and not sure she’s on the same level as the top fillies in here.

Nailed in deep stretch last time by a tough rival, but she draws in the opposite division from that one this week.  Likely to be a short price once again, but any similar effort makes her the one to beat.

We haven’t seen her in a few weeks, and she has a scratched ‘sick’ in between.  Not a great scenario, but she is forced to finish well here or she will miss the $250k final.  Your call.

Kicked home well to pick up a 3^rd place finish in the opening leg, but lands in what is an even tougher spot tonight.  Yet to miss the board in 7 tries this season, but needs her very best.

She was drawing dead last week after she never found room to race down the stretch against a couple of nice fillies.  Was a nice start over the track, and she could improve even more in her 2^nd local try.

Came first over with authority to blow by her rivals as the heavy fav last time, but is facing what appears to be a tougher field tonight.  Any similar effort should put her right in the mix though.

Didn’t have a lot of room to race in that opening leg, but I’m not sure if it would have made a big difference.  Should sit close once again after drawing the pole.  Maybe underneath.

Unleashed a solid final panel to finish up an even 4^th, only a half length behind #5.  It looks wide open for the minor awards, and she appears to be one of many with a chance.

Miss Daphne

Held her own on the fair circuit earlier this summer, but we haven’t seen her in over a month now and the Q’fer wasn’t overly impressive.  I’ll watch this one.

Sandra’s onthebeach

Like #1, this filly didn’t have a lot of room to race in her last start, but it is still asking quite a bit for her to take on a crew like this.  I’ll pass.

T B Beach Girl

Got collared early by the eventual winner after having the lead at the head of the lane, but I will give her credit for digging in late and fending off her other rivals.  She is the defending KYSS champ.  Def fits.

Shawnee Dancer

Note the barn change to team Burke off what appears to be a private purchase.  No question they had to come with a decent sum to buy this one, and I’d expect them to be ready to collect on their investment.

Followed the eventual winner last time, and couldn’t keep up with her down the lane.  Not ready to hop back on board after that.

Had a perfect trip behind #6 last time, and parlayed that into an even 4^th place finish.  One of many with a shot at the minor awards in here if things worked out well again.

Tired after a tough first over journey in his last, and hooks another solid group here in round 2.  Not sure he is ready for these.

Absolutely flying on the end of it last time to get up in the final strides at 17-1!  Steps up to take on some solid colts tonight, but he continues to get better and better with each start.  Maybe.

Doesn’t look like a sweet spot for Ben in only his 3^rd career try.

Nearly lasted while on the lead last time, only to get mowed down by #3 in deep stretch.  Has hit the board in 10 of 11 this year, and I would expect him to sit close and get a nice trip.  Must respect.

Quel Bourbon

I loved this guy to get a piece last time, and he came out to finish a solid 3^rd behind #8.  That was by far the best start of his career, and he should continue to improve.  Anything close to that last effort puts him in the mix.

Never really had a chance last time after getting caught in the back, and he draws into what is probably the toughest division again tonight.  Should be looking to rally late once again.  Needs his very best.

Prayer Session

I have seen him go some big miles in banking over $308k in the last couple years, but I’m not sure any have been better than the dazzling performance we saw from him last week.  Hard to go against after seeing that!

Never really looked comfortable before making the break last time, and now he needs a solid finish to ensure he makes the final.  Has his work cut out from the far outside against this crew.

Nearing in on a million in LT earnings, and has held her own against much tougher company recently in PA.  Appears well spotted in her local debut.  I’m on board.

Kilowatts Fantasy

Used hard last time, and still hung in well to finish up a nice 3^rd against similar company.  Should get away well from the inside, and be in line for a nice trip.  I’ll toss her back on the ticket.  Noble opted here over #8.

Never really got worked into the race from post 10 last time, but she may be a notch below the top ones in here right now.  Does have over $375k in the bank though, a nice resume for a 4yo.

Absolutely exploded by her rivals late after a perfect trip to pick up her first win of the season.  I’ll have to admit I didn’t quite see that one coming.  Can she follow it up with another big effort?  We’ll see.

Asking a lot for a 3yo filly to step up and take on older mares here in a tough spot.  Certainly can’t dispute that she has been RAZOR sharp since arriving locally though.  Will have to step it up even more.

A game try on the front end last week to finish up a solid 2^nd behind #4.  Tyler Smith gets the call tonight, and I would expect her to be setting sail to the top once again.  Maybe.

Jumps back up to take on Open company after a tough trip in overnight last time.  Lands on the far outside of a nice crew, not sure I can endorse her against these.  Noble opted off for #2 instead.

Has held his own at this level since arriving locally, and should sit close after landing on the pole in full field.  Anything similar to those efforts put him in the mix once again.

Absolutely annihilated a field after getting parked a long way from post 10 in what was a GIANT performance in his last.  Makes his 2^nd local start tonight, no question he is the one to beat.

Used hard last time, and still managed to hold a distant 3^rd behind #2.  I’ve always liked this guy, but even I’m willing to admit this may be a tad tough for him.  I’ll wait for a better spot.  Noble opted here over #5.

The Hook never really fired last time after racing extremely well in his first local start 3 back.  Lands in another tough group here, and will certainly need his very best.

I Ota Win

Showed some sneaky late pace last time, and I think he may have been even better in there if he had gotten worked into it sooner.  Lands in a perfect mid-pack post and the price will be right.  Lots to like.

Unreal Appeal

Mare kicked into gear in deep stretch and surged pass her rivals to pull off a 16-1 upset in her last.  A very nice mile there, but she is stepping up to take on even better here.  I’ll watch this one.

Keep in mind he didn’t beat all that much last time in our bottom class, but he certainly looked good doing it.  Trainer back in the bike here, and I would expect another off the pace rally.

Got away decently from outside post in the opening leg, but was outsprinted by his rivals down the lane.  Maybe a tad easier here but would still need to step it up quite a bit.

Absolutely perfect 2^nd over journey last week, but could only manage a 4^th place finish.  I can only endorse him for the minor awards after seeing that.

Held his own against some decent colts last time, and continues to improve with each LT start.  Still asking quite a bit to go with these at this point.

Followed the eventual winner last time and never fired.  Hard to jump on board after that.  Pass.

Faded late after an aggressive move back to the top, and now faces the best of the best in full 12 horse field.  Should sit close, but would need a LOT more.

Couldn’t have possibly diagramed a better journey last time, and took advantage by finishing up 2^nd after following the eventual winner in #7.  Not sure things will work out that perfectly here in full field, but she fits with these.  Shetler opted here over #6.

Followed #2 up in the flow last time, and showed some improvement with a solid 3^rd place finish.  Another that would have to improve a lot taking on the best of the best tonight though.  Magee opted to #4 instead.

Picked off some tired ones late to finish 3^rd behind the runaway duo, and I would expect a similar off the pace journey in full field tonight.  Looks wide open for the minor awards.  Magee opted here over #’s 3, 11, & 12.

Didn’t have anything to offer late in the opening leg, and things aren’t going to get any easier here.  Pass.

Changed things up with the early speed last time, but it worked out well as she reported home with a fairly easy win.  She was the runner up in last year’s $250k final to #7, could be déjà vu all over tonight.

Coasted home to an EASY win last time under no encouragement from her pilot whatsoever.  I’m not sure there is anything that can go with her in here, but won’t be as easy in full field of 12.

Doesn’t appear to be on the same level as her stablemate in #7.  Not tonight.

I don’t think there is any question that she will be blasting early from post 9, and we got to see her race from just off the pace in finishing 2^nd in the opening leg.  One of many with a shot at the minor awards.

Very disappointed in her opening leg loss, as she was no match for the challenge of #7.  Will be interesting to see what she elects to do from post 10.  It won’t be easy.

Thought she had a big shot at the minor awards behind the fav last time, but she was offstride well before the start.  Not typically a fan of 2^nd tier trotters, especially ones with breaking issues.  Magee opted to #4 instead.

Gelding has had some of his best efforts over this surface, but ships in tonight after a 75 day layoff and it would be asking quite a bit for him to go with these at first asking.  I’ll watch one first.

Parlayed a perfect pocket ride into a 2^nd place finish last time, but steps up to take on an even tougher group tonight.  Not sure she is ready for these just yet.

OH invader drops in locally after taking on some tough overnight company at Scioto recently.  Should improve with the stretch out to the big track.  I could make a case.  Noble opted here over #5.

Didn’t have much to offer in his last at Indy, but this guy has had some success over this track in the past as well.  He certainly fits with these, and any smooth journey should put him right in the mix.

Added lasix in the AM, and I will have to say that she looked VERY good in the blowout Q’fer.  Only 1 for 20 LT, but she could be rounding the corner now.  I’ll use her underneath.  Magee opted to #4 instead.

Raced evenly in his first local start, but steps up to take on full 10 horse field tonight.  Should sit close from the pole, but will have to find a way to hang around late.

Absolutely wrapped up in blowout win in leg 1, and should have no trouble once again.  We’ll get to see the main event next week when he takes on Thinking Out Loud for $250k!  Put a circle around him for now.

Grinded up past his other rivals last week after coming first over to finish a distant 3^rd.  That mile was much better than it appears on paper, but he hooks a couple of other rivals as well besides only #6 this week.

A solid runner up finish last week, and he appears to be clearly 2^nd best on paper once again.  It won’t be easy from way out here, but I would expect TS to put him in play early once again.

Came to a quick halt last time after being pressed early, and this guy continues to puzzle me.  He has shown the ability to go with these, but hasn’t been any good in 2 local tries.  I’ll look elsewhere.

Steps up to take on a decent crew here, and appears to be one of many with a chance in wide open field.  Continues to improve with each local start, but will need even more improvement against these.

Dominated a lesser crew in her first local try, and appears to fit with these even with the step up tonight.  I would expect Shehan to put her in play early once again.

Appears to be turning the corner, and might be ready to pop here in his 4^th start back on the season.  If he was anywhere close to 100%, it would be a long night for the rest of these.

Raced evenly against claiming company in his first local try, and lands in a wide open group where he appears to fit well tonight.  Any smooth journey should put him right in the mix.

Tired badly on the lead in her last, and only has one 3^rd to show for 18 trips to the gate this season.  I’ll wait until we see her show some signs of improvement.

10yo has made very few appearances over the last couple of seasons, but he has typically made the most of those few efforts.  Q’fer appears solid, and he is likely the biggest wildcard of the crew.  Price should be right.

Have to give credit where credit is due, and this mare cut a nice mile to win this class last week under pressure for a lot of the way.  Lands on the inside, but appears to be facing a much tougher crew tonight.

Made a break and lost a LOT of ground last week, only to get back down and come absolutely flying on the outside to come up only a nose short.  Mile was even better than it looks on paper.

Recently moved over $200k in earnings, and has been razor sharp against top overnight company in Columbus.  Not an easy group, but barn typically does well here.

Showed some heart to dig in and fend off #1 by the slimmest of margins in last week’s Open.  That’s 3 straight very tough miles on him though, and he is going to need his absolute best once again tonight.

Looks like a tough spot for Tebow, plus he has missed 45 days.  I’ll watch one first.

Hung in there to only get beat a couple of lengths after a tough first over grind against similar company last time.  No question a tougher group here, but any smoother journey should put her in the mix.

Lands in a solid crew for her local debut.  I’ll watch her go around the track once first.

A nice job by Bolon to get her back on stride after a break in her last, which resulted in another win.  Takes a big step up tonight, but she should continue to improve.

Absolutely RAZOR sharp since arriving in town, and sprinted away to another big win last time.  Steps up to take on straight NW with no tag here, but his best puts him in play.  Noble opted to #6 instead.

Kept grinding last time after it appeared he might be in trouble, and wore down the early leaders to score his first win for the new connections.  Appears to finally be on the right track.  Noble opted here over #’s 5 & 7.

Radical Cam

Had absolutely nowhere to go last time or he would have won in my opinion.  He got beat by #9 in here that night, and #9 came right back to win again.  Always a good sign.  Should continue to improve in 3^rd start in ’12.

Springhouse Rebel

Typically closes well when he is chasing other horses, and he finished up a nice 2^nd behind #6 last time.  Likely will be coming from far back here, but any smooth journey gives him a shot once again.

In career best form after winning in lifetime best performances in his last couple of starts, but faces what appears to be an even tougher group tonight from post 9.  Your call.

Hasn’t had a lot of punch since arriving locally, and gets slammed with post 10 on top of it.  Pass.
