Red Mile Race Reviews
Sunday, September 16th
Track Handicapper – Gabe Prewitt
Race 1 Selections 5-3-1

Boodro
You would think this would
serve as a drop in class for him on paper, but this has come up pretty tough
for this level. Should sit close in small
field, appears wide open behind the fav.
Maybe.
2
Alluring Art
How many times are we going
to watch her win and pay $20? 3
consecutive victories, all at 9-1 or better!
Having said that, I can’t endorse her against these and she is likely
to be a $20 horse once again.
3
Kentucky All Star
Appeared beaten as a heavy
fav last time down the lane, but she was able to dig back in and fight off
her rival to get the job done. Would
take a LOT more to hang with the top ones in
here though.
4
Cumonman Bluegrass
Indy invader has only hit
the board once in 25 LT starts, but lands in a small field for his local
debut. Appears to be wide open behind
the fav. Your call.
5
Sgt Matt
No luck in the $250k KYSS
final, but he is possibly taking the biggest class drop of all time from
facing some of the top colts in the country to hooking up with this
crew. Report to the winner’s circle!
Race 2 Selections 1-4-6-5
1
Main Street Hall
I loved this guy last time
and he made an uncharacteristic break up the back side. Not sure what caused that, but I think he
could pick off this crew with his best effort. Price will be better tonight as well. Loney opted to #4.
2
Moreagio
Appears overmatched once
again.
3
Massasuaga
Didn’t have anything to
offer in his ’12 debut on the off track, and would take a complete turnaround
here.
4
Diamond Deo
Ended up sick last time in
Indy, but marched to an impressive first over score the last time we saw him
here at 9-1! We won’t get that kind of
price here, but any similar effort puts him right in the mix once again.
5
Roscoes Rib Rack
I must admit that I wasn’t a
big fan of his last time, and he nearly went right down the road before
tiring down the lane to finish 2nd. A much better effort than what we had seen
prior. May be on the right track
finally.
6
Saskia Lavictoire
Not sure I can pronounce her
name, but she has been facing much tougher company recently in Indy and
appears to have landed in a fairly comfortable spot for her local debut. Packs plenty of early speed.
Race 3 Selections 4-2-5-3
1
West Coast Arturo
Has been facing far tougher
company recently, and should enjoy the drop to this level. Not an overly tough group, but stamina
continues to be the main question here.
Stiltner opted here over #6.
2
Scootin in Secret
We haven’t seen her in
nearly 3 weeks now, but she was an even 5th behind a far tougher
crew in her only local start. If she
comes back with any similar effort tonight, she could be tough in here.
3
Brooklets Kama
Not bad for her first start
off over a 3 month break on Thursday, and appears to have landed in a very
comfortable spot here for her 2nd off the layoff. Should be tightened up and ready to
roll.
4
Miss Kelley Lynne
Another that we haven’t seen
in quite some time, and she was no good here the first time we saw her. I will point out that she does have a 57.2
mark from Maywood
this year, and there isn’t much in this spot.
Hmm…
5
Georgian Jiffyjane
Doesn’t have a lot of early
speed, but that shouldn’t make any difference here in the small field where
she should stay within striking range.
No question the softest crew she has faced here all year.
6
Bad Girlfriend
Her mom was involved in some
classic battles on this track, but it’s been a while since we have seen her
offer any pop. I’ll wait until we see
some improvement. Stiltner opted to #1
instead.
Race 4 Selections 5-4-3-6
1
Momspacific flight
Lands in an absolutely wide
open crew here in small field, but she didn’t have much to offer last time in
a race that set up perfectly for her.
Not sure I’m ready to hop back on board now.
2
Lady Cambest
Hasn’t really fired like I
thought she would here just yet, including a fairly dull 4th last
week. Not an overly tough group here,
but she still needs to pick it up a bit.
3
Buckeye Baddler
OH invader has been holding
her own against some decent company up that way, and lands in a very
comfortable spot for her local debut.
I would expect her to blast early.
4
Here Kitty Kitty
A decent 2nd
place finish the only time Tyler Smith was in the bike 2 starts back, and he
gets the call once again here. Again,
it’s absolutely WIDE open. Demand
value with whomever you choose.
5
Hoosier Rosie
Rosie has been facing far
tougher company since arriving locally, and she should enjoy the class relief
tonight. Should sit much closer, and
likely to be charging late.
6
Black Blitz
Never really fired in 2
local starts, but she is another that was facing much tougher company than
what she has landed in with tonight.
No question she can go with these on her best day.
Race 5 Selections 8-5-1-6
1
Full Service
Couldn’t fight off the
pocket rocket on the off track last time, but still not a bad effort to
finish up a close 2nd. No
question she will be close to the lead once again. Big shot.
2
Let Her Rock
1st time starter
finished last in her only Q’fer at Pocono, but was likely facing some solid
rivals there. Should continue to
improve here in her 2nd time behind the gate, but not quite sure
she is ready for these.
3
Mystic Rose
Hasn’t had anything to offer
thus far, and facing a solid group here.
Pass.
4
Jazzie Music
Appears to have tailed off a
bit after beginning the meet with a couple of solid efforts. Not quite sure what has caused that, but it
would take a complete turnaround now to hang with the top ones in here.
5
Bazinga
Absolutely had this guy on
my bet back list after an amazing debut where he could have likely won if he
had clearance. Unfortunately he hooks
a couple of tough rivals here, but I think he has some talent.
6
Milburn
No match for a tough crew
last time, but has proven he can hold his own at this level locally. Not sure he is on the same level as the top
ones, but appears to have a shot at the minor awards.
7
It’s True
Hasn’t shown the stamina to
hang around late with these just yet, I’ll pass for now.
8
Baez
Well bred filly drops in for
her career debut tonight for top connections.
Has a couple of nice preps under her belt on the east coast, and I
don’t think there is any doubt that she will be blasting from post 8. Must respect.
9
Shop Talk
Makes his career debut after
plenty of practice in the morning, but would have to find a lot more speed
and quickly.
Race 6 Selections 4-6-9-5 Start
of the $5,000 Pick 4 See
Ticket at the end
1
Misconception
Not much success against
similar company here. Pass.
2
Days Go By
Hasn’t hit the board in the
last couple of years, but likely facing one of the weaker crews he has seen
as well. Still would need a lot more
to solve the severe stamina issue.
3
Get-er Done Cam
Shows back up after over 75
days on the shelf for his local debut, but I’ll have to watch one first after
what appears to be a dull Q’fer.
4
Money on Tap
Raced evenly last time to
finish up only 3 lengths back in 6th, but he had plenty of
clearance down the lane if he was good enough. Taking a substantial plunge in class,
should be in line for a nice cover trip as well.
5
Fortune Road
Rallied to a decent 5th
place finish from last the other night, and will likely end up with another
off the pace effort here with the move to conditioned company. Needs his absolute very best.
6
Hoosier Frisco
No question this guy is
facing the softest crew he has faced in no telling how long, but he is likely
to be a VERY short price and I will point out he doesn’t like to win a
lot. Worth the risk? Not for me.
7
Blazing Tower
Appears to have really
tailed off over the last several weeks.
Can’t endorse him just yet.
8
Great Scot
Barn has had some success
here with the OH invaders, and this guy is likely just getting back into
shape here in his 3rd start off the extended layoff. Not a lot of early speed though and lands
in post 9.
9
Cruise to Fame
Appears to pack enough early
speed to overcome post 10 if Nisonger elects to put him in play early. Not an easy group, but his best effort
would put him in the mix.
Race 7 Selections 4-2-7-6
1
Victoria Valley
Has held her own at this
level locally, but appears to have landed in a fairly tough crew
tonight. Lands on the pole though, and
should sit close to the action.
2
Winky’s Truffle
Showed plenty of improvement
last week, digging in for a nice 2nd place finish in only the 2nd
start of her career. Should continue
to build off that, and any further improvement puts her in the mix once
again.
3
Zoli
Still appears to have a lot
of breaking problems, but there is no question he appears to have some talent
as well if he can mind his manners.
I’m not sure that will be the case though.
4
Swiss Alps
Thrown right to the sharks
in making his first 3 career starts against stakes company, and he will be
glad there is no Mystical Dew in here.
Should be ready to break through for his first career win off the
drop.
5
Tickle Me Grace
Has picked up some minor
checks against similar company here this season, but yet to show any major
league speed. Plenty of options from
perfect mid-pack post, but still needs to pick it up a bit.
6
Kacy’s Photo
Put in another solid effort
Thursday to finish up closely behind a heavy fav. Hooks a solid crew here, but her best
should put her close once again.
7
Kegler Hanover
Made breaks in both career
starts thus far, but the Crazed first cropper has proven that he has some
talent when he minds his manners. Connections
tried him against stakes company both tries.
Lands in a comfortable spot.
8
Buy Me Emeralds
Not sure she is going to get
any emeralds tonight.
9
Berto Lucky Star
Would take a lot more than
luck to hang with these. Pass.
10
Muscles R Us
Q’fers look ok, but facing a
tough assignment to take on a solid group from post 10 tonight in only the 2nd
start of her career. I’ll wait for a
better spot.
Race 8 Selections 6-7-4-1
1
Trishie Mae
Nearly got by last time to
spring the upset, and moves back in for the claiming tag here. No question that was a step in the right
direction, and any further improvement puts her in the mix against
these.
2
Pocket Belle
13yo hasn’t had much to
offer recently, and has landed in against a solid crew tonight. I’ll pass for now.
3
Miss Bikini Beach
Ended up a distant 3rd
as a big longshot last time, and likely retains longshot status tonight as it
doesn’t appear things are going to get any easier.
4
It’s Fun
Really rounded into form
over the last few starts, including back to back wins. Moves in for the claiming tag now, but
appears to be the one to beat.
5
Yank My Rope
Raced evenly against a tough
crew last time, but will have to pick it up even more after landing in
against many of those same rivals tonight.
6
Willing Heart
Hung in well to be 3rd
last week after coming first over to challenge the eventual runaway
winner. Should be tightened up and
ready to roll now after being scratched sick prior. I can make a case. TT opted here over #1.
7
Baby Blue Pajamas
Followed #6 up perfectly
last time, and closed by her late to pick up 2nd behind the front
end winner. Might be in line for a
similar journey tonight. No question
she fits with these.
8
Hoosier GB Diamond
Followed the eventual winner
throughout last week, but couldn’t keep up with her late. Likely to be blasting to the top once again
from post 8, but going to have to find some more stamina for the stretch
drive.
Race 9 Selections 9-5-7-3-6 10 CENT SUPER HI FIVE WAGERING
1
Blueridge Tebow
Showed some improvement with
an even effort last time, but he would have to pick it up even more to go
with the top ones in this crew.
2
Silent Fool
Not sure what is going on
with this guy but he has been spacing his starts out quite a bit, and hasn’t
had a lot of pop on the end of his miles recently. I’ll watch closely for any improvement. Loney opted here over #’s 6 & 10.
3
Last Second Shot
Raced a little better last
time, but appears to have landed in an even tougher group tonight. Would need his absolute very best against
these.
4
King’s Lightning
Picked up the pieces from
last to pick up 2nd behind the runaway winner in his last try, and
he appears to be rounding into form here at the end of the meet. Should be closing late once again.
5
Papaknows best
Tried to go down the road
last time as the heavy fav, but ended up tiring a bit late and had to settle
for 3rd. Got caught up in a
sizzling pace there, hopefully Nisonger can ration out the speed a bit
tonight.
6
I Ota Win
Drops down a notch after
racing evenly against some tough company recently. His best effort would put him close in
here. Maybe. Loney opted off for #2 instead.
7
Dugan Run Dream
Left hard from post 9 last
time, and endured a tough first over trip as well before finishing 3rd. Not a bad effort at all there, and anything
similar puts him in play again tonight.
8
Ndana Favorite
Hasn’t had much to offer
locally, and has been lightly raced over the last couple of seasons. Would have to pick things up quite a bit to
make any major noise against these.
9
EJ’s Pocket Rocket
Trust me when I tell you he
had NOWHERE to go down the lane last week and appeared to be overloaded with
pace. Tyler back in town for the drive tonight,
I’m ready to hop on board.
10
SBD First Blood
Blasted from post 10 on
Thursday, nearly pulling off the 15-1 upset before getting mowed down by
another longshot in deep stretch. A
much improved effort, but lands in a tough spot here. Your call.
Loney opted to #2.
