Came first over and went by #2 fairly easily to win the opening leg, and is now 8 for 9 in her brief career.  Should be interesting to see how things set up here in leg 2.  No question she is the one to beat.

Diligent Prospect

Got away without any pressure for the majority of the mile last time on the lead, but couldn’t fend off #1 late.  Not a bad try, and any similar effort puts her squarely in the mix once again.

So Nice

A perfect scenario for her 1^st LT start, she sat on #2’s back the entire way and sprinted home late to finish up a game 3^rd.  She should continue to improve in only her 2^nd career start.  More aggressive try tonight?

KZ Beach Girl

Finished 4^th as the odds on favorite last time, but I wouldn’t be too hard on her after sitting last through a pretty soft ¾’s of a mile.  Sprinted home right with the pack.  Maybe.

Caribbean Treasure

Not sure she is on the same level as her rivals to the inside, but she finished up with a nice even effort last time as well to be 5^th.  Things won’t get any easier here though.

Kijafa

Came first over against the eventual winner who is an extremely nice filly, and still managed to hang on for a nice 2^nd.  Picks up the services of PW tonight as well, should continue to improve in her 3^rd career try.

Dana Boko

Couldn’t hold off the closers last time after an aggressive move to the top, but this filly has yet to miss the board in 3 LT tries including 2 against stakes company.  Maybe a touch easier spot tonight as well.

Expressive Victor

Added hobbles for her last try and she managed to pick up a decent 3^rd.  No question she should continue to improve, but I’m not sure she packs the speed to hang with the top ones in here just yet.

Classact Volo

Made a break in her only local appearance after the filly inside of her made a break behind the gate as well.  I’ll have to watch her put in a clean effort before jumping on board.

Dewey Lane

Made a break and lost a ton of ground, yet incredibly got back down to wind up only a couple of lengths off the lead around the far turn.  All that took it’s toll late for a distant 4^th place finish.  Will she stay flat here?

Still doesn’t appear to pack the speed to hang with the top ones.  Pass.

Made a break as a big longshot last time, and likely retains longshot status here.  Pass.

The pressure is on after making a break in the opening leg, she would need a nice finish here to ensure a spot in the final.  Appears to have landed in a soft enough crew, and lands Tetrick as well.  I’ll take a shot.

Caveat Emptor

Had the benefit of a lot of breakers in his local debut, but he couldn’t have looked anymore impressive in a dominating score under no encouragement.  Lands on the pole once again.  Lots to like.

Made a break while on the lead last time, and lands in quite the shark tank here.  I’ll pass for now.

Swiss Alps

A nice even effort in the 1^st start of his career, but he hooks an overly tough group here in his 2^nd KYSS try.  Would have to pick it up quite a bit to go with these.

Alfredo Dream

Hooked a couple of very nice colts in that last one, and ended up with an even 4^th place finish.  Unfortunately, he hooks another tough group here as well!  Continues to improve with each start, needs his very best.

Howdy Dewey

I was on board last time, and he failed to fire off what ended up being a nice trip.  It still was the fastest he has trotted in his life, maybe I was expecting a little too much.  Things won’t get any easier here though.

Wow!  Undefeated colt raced a bit green last time but powered by for an easy win in the opening leg.  Probably already locked up a spot in the $250k final, how aggressive will TS be with him here?

Here’s Johnny

Broke right after the start in the opening leg, and now Johnny is forced to be 1-2 tonight or he will likely not be hereeeeeee for the $250k final.  I’m expecting an aggressive attempt.  Should be close if he minds his manners.

Blue Diamonds

Had the benefit of a couple of breakers in the opening leg, but at the end of the day ended up an even 4^th behind a top filly.  Would have to pick things up quite a bit to go with the favs in here.

MaChere Hall

Added hobbles in the opening leg, and absolutely exploded away from her rivals when she shook loose about midway down the lane.  That was impressive!  I’m on board once again tonight.

Tired after an aggressive attempt from post 9 last time, I’m not sure if she’s ready to go with the top ones in here right away.

Redur beautiful

Trotted evenly against a tough group, but appears to have landed in against another solid crew tonight.  I’ll wait for a better spot.

Never got through into very late last time, and it probably cost her 2^nd behind the runaway winner.  No question still a very nice try in her 2^nd career start.  Should continue to improve.

Absolutely went to the front and romped in her local debut.  Granted, it wasn’t an overly tough group she faced there but she couldn’t have possibly looked any better.

Don’tcheat onafilly

Tough trip last time, but she ended up throwing in the towel very early.  Would take a complete turnaround to compete with these.

A decent even effort last time to be 5^th, but moves from the pole to the far outside.  Looks like a tough spot for her here.

Finally minded his manners in the AM after several attempts with hobbles.  Not sure he is ready for these.  Pass.

Lands back in against his main rival #7, who beat him in the opening leg.  I am sure Schnittker will be putting him in play early once again.  May end up sitting on #7’s back this time.  Can he turn the tables?

Impressive 3^rd place finish last time, after being handled fairly conservatively handled after making breaks in his 2 prior starts.  Not sure he can beat the top two, but any similar effort should be good for a minor award.

Overmatched against many of these same rivals last time, don’t see things getting any easier here.

Never in it after the early break last time, and doesn’t appear to pack the speed to hang with these regardless.

Made a break early last time, but actually finished 5^th after many of his rivals made breaks as well.  If he minds his manners, he could be a player for the minor awards in here as well.

I am well aware he had a nice trip behind #2 last time, but he glided by him with ease down the lane and I was over impressed.  I’m not sure we have seen anywhere near his best yet.  Banking on another big effort tonight.

Raced evenly against similar company at Springfield, but was scratched sick from her last in Chi-town.  An absolutely WIDE open race to kick off tonight’s Pick 4!  Your call.

Perfect Truth

Showed some sneaky late pace in the last one to finish up 5^th and this filly continues to improve with each and every start.  Truthfully, she can go with anything in here.  Maybe.

Real Impressive

Where did that last effort come from?  Filly is 0 for 20 in her career, but she came up only a neck short of pulling off a major 44-1 shocker last time!  Anything close to that puts her in the mix once again.

Ellie’s Best Dream

Faded badly against some tough company in Indy last time, but her first start there wasn’t bad at all.  She lands in what appears to be a comfortable spot in only her 3^rd career start.  Any improvement puts her in the game.

Jack N Water

Launched a first over attack against the eventual winner last time, and ended up tiring a bit late to finish up a close 5^th.  Another that could make some noise with any smoother journey.

Another that had some sneaky late pace last time, and I have no doubt that if she is worked into the race sooner that she could crash the party and win it.  Again, it’s WIDE open.

No threat in his only local try.  Retains longshot status.  Pass.

One of those sounds good about now… Lightly raced 7yo has held his own on IL fair circuit, but I’ll make him prove it here on the big track before hopping on board.

A nice local Q’fer for top connections, but TS is going to have to find a way to work him into the race from way out here.  Won’t be easy, but he certainly fits with these.

Was offstride far behind the gate as the heavy fav last time, and now the question is how aggressive will Loney be after that from post 10?  My guess is….  Not very.

Added lasix for her stakes try, but appeared to be overmatched in that spot.  Still needs to find a way to find some more stamina before I’m falling in love.  Noble opted to #4 instead.

Ended up with an absolute perfect trip following the eventual winner last time, and parlayed that into a decent 3^rd place finish.  Should sit much closer from inside post.  Your call.

Hasn’t been able to hold the fort down locally.  Pass.

Liked the Bull last time and he made a break while moving.  Barn has been on quite a roll recently.  I suppose I will give him one more try here before looking elsewhere.  Price should be okay.

Hasn’t been anywhere close recently.  Pass.

Saved ground en route to a 6^th place finish last time, but that was a decent effort against a solid group of stakes fillies.  Lands in a much more comfortable spot here, but likely to be overbet off that.

Fired out for an unpressured lead last time as the fav, but couldn’t get the job done and faded to 4^th late.  I’m not convinced she does her best work on the lead.  I would expect an off the pace rally again here.  Maybe.

Held 3^rd after following a heavy fav last time, and I was fairly impressed with that try.  Yet to win this year, but she has hit the board in 9 of 11.  No question Kravchak should put her in play early once again.

Offstride far behind the gate in her last attempt, and I’m not sure what to think now.  She has the ability to go with these on her best day, but just doesn’t appear to be heading in the right direction.

Has endured some breaking problems throughout his brief career, and gets slammed with post 10 as well.  I’ll watch one first.

Barn has been heating up recently, but this guy tired badly after making an aggressive first over move in his last.  Drops into our bottom condition once again and lands on the pole.  That could help him turn things around.

The docdor wasn’t prescribed a very good trip in his local debut, and we essentially learned absolutely nothing from that mile.  I’ll watch another one first.

Followed the eventual winner last week, and the mare that beat her came back to win again.  No question she fits with these, but with a short price looming I may look elsewhere.

Closed from last to finish 3^rd last time, but was far behind #3 in that one.  Should be sitting much closer from mid-pack post tonight, and should continue to improve in his 4^th start back on the year.

Hasn’t had anything to offer late after getting caught up in a couple of big miles recently.  Should be better spotted here, but would still need to pick it up quite a bit.

An even effort to finish up 5^th last time, but quite honestly I was expecting a bit more after he sat in the back and had a nice pace to close into.  Appears to be a softer crew tonight though.  Your call.  Stiltner opted to #9.

Only beaten 4 lengths last time against a fairly solid group.  Keep in mind he had been on the shelf a long time prior to this year.  Might finally be getting back into shape.  I can make a case.  Stiltner opted here over #7.

Lands on the outside here, but is making her first appearance in our bottom condition.  She certainly has enough early speed to overcome the post if Jerrell elects to step on the gas.  Maybe.

Had a perfect trip after appearing to have the field over a barrel last time and never fired whatsoever.  Only 1 for 34 last 2 years.  I wasn’t impressed, and am certainly not coming back at another short price here.

Dominated in a much softer spot last time in Cleveland, and may come back down to earth here against a solid group of overnight company.  Will need his very best.  Smith opted here over #5.

Hasn’t had a lot to offer after some ground saving journeys in his last several tries, and things aren’t going to get any easier against these.  Pass.

Wasn’t able to keep up with the top pack last time, and lands in a similar group here.  Not tonight.

Appeared to be home free last time, only to get nailed in the last strides.  Still not a bad effort, and KB will have plenty of options from mid-pack post.  Maybe.  Smith opted to #2 instead.

Hasn’t been able to hang with the $2.5k claimers, and hooks a solid crew in conditioned company tonight.

Got caught in the back in the FFA only to be hopelessly pinned in down the lane, and lands in against mainly boys here in mid-level overnight company.  Has a ton of early speed if Kravchak elects to use it.  She fits with these, no reason she couldn’t win it.

Didn’t fire after getting parked every step last time, and takes a slight drop into what should be an easier crew here.  Still needs his very best punch.  Noble opted to #10 instead.

Rallied from the back last time to finish 4^th, and that appears to be how things will set up once again from post 9 here.  I’ll wait until he lands in a better spot.

Dugan Run Dream

Raced evenly against similar company on Sunday, and now gets slammed with post 10 in a competitive crew.   Doesn’t appear to have a lot of early speed, and will likely have to do it from last.  Noble opted here over #8.

Worked in a start at Balmoral in between legs where he raced evenly, but I must say I was disappointed with his local try when he didn’t fire as the fav off an absolutely perfect trip 2 back.  I can’t endorse after that.

Battled the eventual winner after being left first over last time, before fading and finishing 5^th.  Nothing wrong with that mile, but hooks a tough group in full 11 horse field.  Needs his very best.  DN opted here over #5.

Dylan just keeps getting better and better with each start.  He nearly pulled off the 68-1 upset last time, and he has a wicked late kick.  I’m still not sure we’ve seen his best yet.  I’m on board.

Finished up a close 3^rd in the opening leg, but I wasn’t overly impressed with the effort that night.  Things aren’t going to get any easier in full field here.

Kenzie’s Beach Boy

Aggressively handled with an early challenge to the leader from the pocket, only to be outpaced down the lane in the opening leg.  Not sure he is on the same level as the favs in here.  Noble opted to #2 instead.

A solid local debut to finish up 2^nd behind #8, and he is yet to miss the board in 5 LT starts.  I would expect PW to put him in play early once again.  Big shot.

Jude Hall

Well timed move to the top for the lone Southwind Lynx colt in the group, as he was able to fend off his rivals late for the win.  Not sure things are going to work out that perfectly here, but he certainly fits.

Blatantly Best

Absolutely blasted by #6 in deep stretch for an easy win, as he unleashed a sizzling final quarter to get the job done in hand.  Still undefeated in 3 career starts.  Must respect.  Miller opted here over #1.

Raced much better than I could’ve ever expected to finish up 3^rd behind a couple of nice colts in opening leg.  Certainly has hit work cut out though after drawing post 9 in field of 11.  I’ll pass.

Saved ground to pick up 2^nd last time as the fav, and appears to have landed in an even tougher group here.  I’ll try her underneath only against these.

Ended up a distant 2^nd in the opening leg, but would have to pick things up quite a bit to hang with this crew.

Continues to improve with each start, and parlayed a perfect trip behind the eventual winner into a 3^rd place finish last time.  The problem is she draws in against the 2 that beat her and some others here.  Needs even more.

Simply strolled around the track to pick up her 4^th consecutive victory, and there is no question O’Mara will be pointed to the lead once again.  She’s the one to beat again!

Offstride far behind the gate in her local debut, for a filly that has suffered several breaking problems throughout her brief career.  Slammed with post 9 in a tough group as well.  Not a good recipe.

Never fired in a very tough spot from post 9 last time, but lands on the pole in what appears to be a much more comfortable group here.  Picks up the services of Tetrick as well.  Barn been on a roll.  Live longshot?  Yes.

Didn’t race badly in his career debut, but keep in mind there were several breakers in the field which certainly aided his 3^rd place finish.  Should continue to improve here in his 2^nd LT try.  Maybe.

Regally bred colt finished up with an even 4^th place finish in his local debut, and that certainly was a step in the right direction.  Not an overly tough group here, any further improvement puts him right in the mix.

Finished up 3^rd behind a couple of extremely nice colts last time, and hooks a much softer group tonight than he faced in that one.  Any similar effort puts him very close.  Christensen opted to #6 instead.

Never in it after an early break last time, I’ll wait until we see some improvement.

Couldn’t keep up with the fav last time but still managed to hold 2^nd.  There were several breakers in the field though which helped his cause.  He may be overbet after that as well.  I’ll look elsewhere.  BC chose over #4.

Came first over from way back in the opening leg, and he actually didn’t race badly at all given how tough the group was that he faced.  Any smoother journey could land him on the ticket at a nice price.

Really rounded the corner with a solid 2^nd place finish behind the fav last time as a 40-1 outsider.  Won’t be anywhere near that price tonight, but a similar effort should put him close once again.

Well bred 2yo took a Q’fer at Scioto last time on an off track, and this could be a prep for the Kindergarten Series that begins here in September.  Appears to have some talent if she minds her manners.

Recent additions of hobbles and lasix appeared to help things out for a 2^nd place finish at Duquoin, but she would still need to pick it up quite a bit to hang with the top ones in here.

I must admit that I dismissed this filly without giving her a 2^nd look on Sunday, and she came charging on the end of it to finish up a very close 2^nd.  Not sure where that came from, but I liked what I saw.

Total Enjoyment

Q’fed evenly behind #9, but it’s asking a lot for the lightly raced filly to be able to go with these in her first start off the shelf and only her 2^nd start of the season.  I’ll watch one first.

Mrs Mrs Jones

Local Q’fer was solid, and anything similar to those east coast starts at The Big M would make her the best in here.  No question Tetrick will have to spring forward off the gate from post 9.  Must respect.

Made a break in her latest attempt, and will likely be under conservative handling from post 10.  Not sure I like how things set up for her here against a decent group.  I’ll wait for a better spot.

Debuts for the 3^rd different barn for the 3^rd straight start.  Looked super 2 starts back, but didn’t look to be the same horse last time.  Which Nite Hawk shows up here?  Good question.  Smith opted to #4 instead.

Tired late to finish a distant 3^rd after getting caught up in a quick early pace last time.  Probably the toughest crew he has faced since arriving locally though.  Needs his very best.  Smith opted to #4 instead.

I gave him a try last time, and went down in blazes after he didn’t have much to offer against similar company.  I can’t endorse him back after that.

Rallied to finish up a nice 3^rd behind #4 last time at a big number.  Not quite sure he will get that kind of pace to chase again in here, but it is certainly possible I suppose.  Barn has been on a roll!

Finally turned things around a bit with a solid 2^nd behind #7 last time, but would have to pick it up even more to collect even a minor award in the ultra competitive group he’s landed in tonight.

Absolutely dominated with a nearly 9 length romp against similar company in what was his first solid start since arriving locally.  If he is anywhere near that good again, it’s going to be a long night for the rest of these.
